Peace Poster winnaar bekend gemaakt

Het volgende persbericht is uitgegaan nadat ik donderdag de 20e de winnaar op de Witkopepnschool had bekendgemaakt. Alle 3 de meisjes hebben van de Lions club een pakket met teken en buro spulletjes gekregen.

CONGRATULATIONS to Tholakele Nyathi, 12-year-old sixth- grader at Witkoppen school in Fourways, who won the Peace Poster Contest held September 20 by the Lions Club of Fourways. She received a special winner's certificate from Lions Clubs International, which each year sponsors the Peace Poster Contest, open to children worldwide between the ages of 11 and 13.
"Peace Around the World" is the theme of the 2007-08 Peace Poster Contest. Lions clubs are sponsoring the program in their communities for children in local schools or organized, sponsored youth groups. Students, ages 11, 12 or 13 are eligible to participate. Through the contest, students are encouraged to visually depict their interpretation of the contest's theme.
This is the first year that the Lions of Fourways have organized a local Peace Poster Contest and the Witkoppen school entered with 80 participants.
The contest judges were: Gerard Guinee and Gillian Badria Lions of Lions club Fourways and art teacher Utukudu Bonphsyus Matlou and teacher Onicca Pusoe of Witkoppen school
